|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The productive process is different depending on whether the tiles are one-color or patterned. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| In the productive process for | decorated marble grit or | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| cement past | the operator follows the | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| production program choosing separator, grits and colors. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Then the operator manually places the separator into the mould and fills in the various sectors of the pattern with the selected paste, very accurately so to obtain a perfect tile without imperfections. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This working phase is characterized by the use of brass separators, realized by expert operators, to obtain the greatest precision in the realization of the patterned tile. Then the tile goes through a mechanical vibration process to eliminate air-bubbles and is manually matched , according to the technique of the beginning of XX century, to the underlayer made of cement and sand. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Then the pressed tile follows the regular process of drying and smoothing. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

To obtain the one-color | marble grit is | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| selected and mixed in concrete mixers with addition of cement, water, marble powder and oxide dye so to obtain an homogeneous mixture. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| From special tankers which are filled in by the concrete mixers, the operator manually pours the material into the machine mould. Then, though vibrators, the mixture is spread in the mould so to obtain a uniform distribution and eliminate air-bubbles. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Successively the upper layer of the tile is matched to the humidity-absorbing underlayer and the two layers are pressed so to make the tile very resistant. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| After pressing, the tile is manually removed from the mould and left to dry, even for 10 days, and finally smoothed down. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| After smoothing, the next productive phase is represented by quality control and packaging. This is particularly important to grant the product integrity during transport. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
